Library of Things

The Library of Things is a collection of items for check out which  are not traditional library materials such as books or movies.  These items offer more hands-on learning experiences for all ages from science experiments to musical instruments. 

Toddler Time Kits

ToddlerTiime kits contain books, a game, manipulatives, puzzles and a puppet that follow a theme. Each kit includes a toddler activity sheet that encourages reading, activity, play and imagination. Recommended for ages 1-3.

Early Literacy Kits
These pre-K kits contain books, a game, manipulatives, puzzles and a puppet that follow a theme. Each kit includes a storytime plan that combines language and literacy learning with social and emotional development all tied together with great books, engaging discussions, hands-on play and activities, music and movement, and meaningful family engagement.  Recommended for ages 3-5.

Preschool STEM Kits

These kits provide simple hands-on activities to introduce STEM learning concepts to preschoolers.

Play Kits
Play kits contain books, games, play set and toys on a theme. Each kit  ecourages reading, activity, play and imagination.

In addition to our STEM kits, we have a diverse selection of kits for school-age children to explore different topics. Our selection is always expanding.

Ukulele Kits

The library has 8 ukuleles for checkout.  This is a real, playable instrument which comes in a gig bag for protection and includes a booklet with a history of the ukulele, basic chords, and a felt pick.  The library also offers song books and instructional DVDs.  Need some help getting started?  Sign up for a One-on-One tutorial with Miss Natalie.  Recommended for ages 7 and up.
